I just decided that I am going to elevate this Cd to a whole new plateau. What I am going to do is to add 6 songs from my previous 2 Cd releases. The songs I am considering are: "Shake For Me Now" (stripper song), "Have Another Cigarette", "Black Cat Saloon", "City Streets" (underground love song), "Shadows" (ominous instrumental) and "Sunday Morning". "Sunday Morning" is from my debut release "Songs From The Gallery", all the rest are from my 2nd release "Like The Freak You Are". These 6 songs would give me a total of 20 tunes for my "Crazy Like A Fox" Cd. I also think that this will make original copies of my first 2 Cd's collectibles. 20 songs on one Cd release !!! That will definitely put this release in the running to be groundbreaking. In a way it would be a "best of" release ... and that's cool. When you have nothing left to lose, why not fire all your cannons at once. The record industry, and avid listeners, will have no other choice than to take notice. In a Rock-n-Roll kind of way, I guess I am all about the kill shot !
6-17-10, I have thought this approach through for a while, and I have decided to bypass the idea. It would be cool to have a 20 song Cd which includes some of my past hits, but I also think it would be a step backwards. My previous Cd's were all recorded on a BR 8, this Cd was done on a BR 1600. There would definitely be a difference in sound quality. Not to mention, it would also take away from the importance of my prior releases. Maybe 20 years, or so, down the road I will consider doing a "best of" release. Until then, it's all about moving forward !
